Don Ciccio & Figli
Don Ciccio shares the rich history of artisanal liqueur making from the Amalfui Coast to the US through a series of time-tested recipes handed down fro generation to generation.
In 1951, Francesco “Don Ciccio” Amodeo, a mechanic by trade brought an old family business back to life. His passion was artisanal liqueur making and so with the help of Giovanni Porpora, he built a small distillery on the hills of Furore located in the southern coastal region of Italy near Positano and Capri. After 50 years, the distillery shut down after a massive earthquake destroyed the building and the orchards.
Don Ciccio & Figli was born in 2012 in Washington DC when, grandson, Francesco Amodeo, expanded the family tradition here offering a glimpse of the past with a nod to the future. We currently craft our spirits following only traditional techniques.
